  • What's included with standalone venue hire?
    The main venue room Ambient house lighting Professional quality PA system Toilet facilities
  • What is available to hire in addition to the venue itself?
    Dining tables & chairs Bar tables & stools Lounges Dinnerware Table linen (tablecloths, napkins) Please note, this includes the supply of equipment only, not setting up. You will need to set up the hired items. Alternatively you may supply your own furnishings & decor, or hire an event decorating contractor.
  • Is there a minimum booking?
    Just the venue itself. Everything else is optional.
  • Who does the catering?
    You can choose the external caterer of your preference. It’s popular to use food vans and mobile caterers at the Wedgetail for a festive feel.
  • Who provides and serves the drinks?
    Either; Goolabri can stock and run the bar and sell the drinks under a bar tab or PAYG arrangement or You can operate the drinks service. If you arrange the drinks you need to arrange your own RSA certified staff to serve alcohol.
  • Will Goolabri have any staff available to help us on the day?
    No, but we will member of staff in attendance at various times to oversee the security and operation of the venue.
  • Will there be security at the event?
    If you have more than 180 people at your event, security staff are required. We can help you arrange this.
  • What parking is available?
    Ample free parking is available on site. If your event has more than 150 people you will need to provide people to direct your guests to parking on the day.
  • How late can we stay?
    It's essential to the sustainability of our business that we maintain a happy relationship with our local community in our neighbourhood. To ensure this, we have made a commitment to our community of strict event time limits to prevent noise disturbance by traffic, crowd conversation and music. Venues are available until the following times which are strictly not negotiable; Saturdays until 11:30pm Weekdays until 11pm
  • How late can the music/noise go?
    It's essential to the sustainability of our business that we maintain a happy relationship with our local community in our neighbourhood. To ensure this, we have made a commitment to our community of strict music volume limits and cut off times to prevent noise disturbance. Music must end by the following times which are strictly not negotiable; Saturdays until 11pm Weekdays until 10:30pm The music cut off time is before the venue closing time, to allow time after the music finishes for the event to wind up. Please make sure you understand that this is not negotiable based on the community agreement mentioned above before you consider booking, and that there is a Music Bond payable.
  • Who is responsible for cleaning the venue?
    You are responsible for leaving the venue as you found it You are responsible for hiring a cleaner, or cleaning the venue yourself after the event. A cleaning deposit is required at time of booking. Hired equipment must be put away and stacked correctly as found
  • Who is responsible for rubbish removal?
    Goolabri will provide a limited number of rubbish and recycling bins for you to dispose of your event waste. You are responsible for removing any waste that does not fit in the bins, so it is in your interest to minimise the amount of waste produced during your event. Please plan ahead if excess rubbish removal will be needed.
  • Do I need insurance?
    Yes, you need to obtain your own one-off Event Public & Products Liability insurance. This normally costs between $220 and $450.
